About us

arens faulhaber lichtplaner is a lighting design studio founded in 1999 in Cologne, led by Corinna Arens and Dorette Faulhaber. Both partners are trained architects/interior architects with many years of experience at internationally recognised lighting design firms, including LICHTDESIGN Ingenieurgesellschaft, Cologne, and LICHT KUNST LICHT, Bonn/Berlin. The studio develops differentiated lighting concepts for interior and exterior spaces, from design planning through to implementation. Projects include churches, administrative buildings, banks and inner-city courtyard complexes as well as restaurants, shops and private villas in Germany and neighbouring European countries. In addition, the studio develops special solutions and custom luminaires for specific project requirements and offers individual consulting, for example support in competitions. The work is carried out in close collaboration with architects and encompasses functional, economic and design-oriented overall concepts.
