About Us

ARISTON Formstaub-Werke GmbH & Co. KG, based in Essen-Burgaltendorf, is a specialist manufacturer for the process engineering treatment of carbonaceous raw materials. Founded in 1910, the company produces granulates and flours as well as mixed products such as mold washes, ladle washes and permanent mold (chill) washes, carburizers and covering powders. The raw materials processed include hard coal coke, anthracite, petroleum coke, metallurgical coke and graphite. The process chain comprises crushing, drying (rotary drum furnace), screening, milling and mixing to customer specification, supplemented by contract mixing. The products are supplied as raw, auxiliary and operating materials to industrial customers worldwide, primarily to the steel, foundry, glass and refractory industries. The company has been certified to DIN EN ISO 9001 since 1996 and operates its own laboratory for the analysis of incoming raw materials, production and shipping.
