Arnstädter Verzahnungstechnik GmbH (AVT) manufactures customized gear components such as spur gears, drive shafts and special parts for gearboxes and drive systems. The service portfolio includes internal and external gearing (straight or helical), turning, milling and drilling, gear hobbing, gear shaping, gear flank grinding, cylindrical grinding as well as heat treatment. Materials processed include steel, alloyed heat-treatable steels, cast steel, cast iron, aluminium and non-ferrous metals; module gearing is produced according to common standards, non-involute special profiles by agreement. Components are manufactured with module 0.4 to 20, diameters up to 650 mm and lengths up to 1,000 mm, in lot sizes from 1 to 1,000 pieces. In addition, AVT offers technical consulting, prototyping, testing, 3D scans for drawing creation as well as material, hardness and wear analyses. Customers come from lifting technology, construction industry, forestry and agricultural technology, special machinery construction, rail technology, marine engineering and automotive engineering. Founded in 2003, the company employs 32 staff at its Arnstadt site with 1,415 m² of production space.
