About artec Präzisionstechnik
artec Präzisionstechnik GmbH was founded in 1999 in Herzberg am Harz by Ralph Pinnecke and Axel Mund and specialises in the machining of high-precision components. The range of services covers precision milling, precision turning, part marking, assembly of component groups and quality assurance, complemented by an in-house materials warehouse and material procurement via reliable partners. Individual parts and small series are manufactured from steel, stainless steel, non-ferrous metals, aluminium and engineering plastics; hardened materials can also be machined thanks to the available technology, including extremely thin-walled surfaces and the smallest webs and rails. Customers include small and medium-sized companies from mechanical and plant engineering, the automotive industry, medical technology, biotechnology, drive, testing and control technology, and surgical/optical laser manufacturing, as well as research institutes such as the Max Planck Institute for Solar System Research, for which housings for the camera and landing gear of the Rosetta mission were manufactured. From a two-man operation, the company developed into a medium-sized enterprise that today employs 20 people.
