artificial jürgen j. burk is a German sole proprietorship based in Munich that manufactures contemporary lighting, small furniture and accessories and operates as an international distributor. It began in 1983 with the founding of galerie artificial by Jürgen J. Burk, trading in 20th-century design objects from Bauhaus to Pop Art. In 1998, the company artificial was founded to separate the gallery and the distribution business. The own collection 'be different!' comprises lighting, vases, wooden accessories, furniture, cuckoo clocks and upcycled glass products, which are marketed directly or via agents worldwide. In addition to its own brand, artificial exclusively distributes products of the brands the MUNIO (soy wax candles), Vaidava (handcrafted ceramics from Latvia) and Mojoo (lacquered trays from Denmark) to the design retail trade. Value creation takes place predominantly through partner companies working by hand, for example in ceramics and candle production as well as the lacquering of trays.
