About the Artisans Vignerons d'Yvorne
The Artisans Vignerons d'Yvorne (AVY) is a winegrowers' cooperative (Société coopérative) founded in 1902, based in Yvorne in the Vaud Chablais region. The cooperative vinifies, conditions and markets the entire harvest of its roughly 120 member winegrowers; the winery processes the grapes from 55 hectares of vineyards within a 160-hectare production area. The range consists primarily of wines from the renowned Yvorne Chablais AOC appellation based on the Chasselas grape, complemented by white wine specialties (including Doral, Viognier, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Blanc) and red wines (including Pinot Noir, Gamay, Gamaret, Garanoir, Cabernet Franc, Galotta, Divico, Mara, Diolinoir). Grape production follows the standards of integrated production (production intégrée), enshrined in its own Charta de Qualité. The wines are distributed throughout Switzerland; tastings and receptions are offered on site. The production is honored annually with awards such as the Label Or Terravin and medals from the Sélection des Vins Vaudois.
