About AS-Motor
AS-Motor is a manufacturer of specialised mowing technology for tall grass, steep slopes and difficult terrain, headquartered in Bühlertann, Germany. The company was founded in 1959 by Alfred Schefenacker, who developed the first Allmäher® for tall grass on steep vineyards. At the Bühlertann site, Allmäher®, mulching mowers, cylinder mowers, ride-on mowers, flail mowers, remote-controlled slope mowers and mechanical weed brushes (WeedHex) are developed and produced; in addition, AS-Motor manufactures over 90 percent of the parts of its own two-stroke engine in-house, while remaining components are sourced from regional suppliers according to the company's own specifications. Alongside petrol-powered machines, the product range includes the battery-powered AS-Motor ELECTRIC product line with FusionCore battery technology as well as the GPS/RTK steering assistant X-ACT TRACK. AS-Motor is part of the family-owned AriensCo group (5th generation, founded in 1933 in Brillion, Wisconsin) and operates the AriensCo EMEAA headquarters from Bühlertann. Customers include landscaping and garden construction companies, municipalities, road maintenance depots, vineyards and orchards, solar farms, sports facilities and utility companies.
