About ASA Schalttechnik
Since 1974, ASA Schalttechnik GmbH has developed, produced and distributed mechanical, magnetic and electronic switching devices for mechanical engineering and plant construction. The product portfolio includes limit switches and position switches, foot switches in the FM, FK, FL and FS series, magnetic switches, level switches/float switches, medical switching devices as well as custom switching devices developed together with customers, such as cable pull switches, tilt switches and switches for fire protection monitoring. Production takes place at the headquarters in Porta Westfalica on approx. 2,000 m² of production space, including finishing of products and complete assemblies: drilling, painting, printing as well as plug and cable assembly with its own cable machine. Materials used include aluminium die-cast alloys, glass-fibre reinforced thermoplastics (PA, PA 6.6), stainless steel as well as reed contacts in glass with contact materials such as rhodium, tungsten, ruthenium, gold-film or mercury-film contacts. The switching devices are used as a brand or as OEM and white-label solutions, among other things, in control and automation technology, medical technology, fire protection technology, the chemical industry, shipbuilding and in commercial and special vehicles.
