About ASC Germany
ASC Armored Specialty Cars GmbH is a medium-sized German company based in Reutlingen-Mittelstadt specializing in the development and production of bulletproof off-road vehicles protected against mines and IEDs. All vehicles are developed, manufactured and certified in Germany. The portfolio includes SUVs based on the Mercedes-Benz G-Class, Toyota Land Cruiser (TLC 76, TLC 200, TLC 300), Toyota Hilux, Lexus and Chevrolet Suburban in protection levels VR7 and VR9, each in tactical or VIP specification. The road and off-road characteristics of the base vehicles are largely retained, and the vehicles are designed to look as close as possible to the OEM model in order to remain discreet. Each platform is tested by the ballistics testing authority (Beschussamt) or IABG at government testing centers in Germany and certified to VPAM BRV/ERV; the company holds 140 certifications for ballistic and explosive tests. In addition to vehicle production, ASC operates a service center with spare parts supply, workshop service and personnel training. The vehicles are used by heads of state, diplomats, military special units and police units worldwide.
