ASCENDO Immersive Audio (AIA) is a high-end home cinema technology company founded in 1999 in Heilsbronn that develops and sells loudspeakers, subwoofers, infrasound subwoofers, and amplifier and electronics systems. The products are specifically designed for residential cinema environments and are based on coaxial point sound sources, active crossover design and time-domain-accurate calibration. The infrasound subwoofers achieve reproduction down to frequencies of 3 Hz; the range extends from compact 12-inch subwoofers to infrasonic large-scale systems. The electronics division (since 2020) offers amplifiers with Audio-over-IP support (AVB, Dante, AES67) and DSP calibration via the AIA Creator software.
