About Ascento
Ascento AG is an ETH spin-off founded in 2018 with headquarters in Zurich (Flurstrasse 55). The company develops and produces autonomous, all-terrain security robots and AI software for patrols on large private premises. Two-wheeled mobility with leg-like kinematics enables deployment on uneven ground, edges and challenging outdoor surfaces. The offering is a Robotics-as-a-Service model: the robots (Ascento Guard) autonomously perform security patrols, detect people, check doors, windows and the perimeter, scan for thermal anomalies and inspect parking areas. The system is complemented by the Ascento App with encrypted live communication, configurable patrol plans, AI-supported reports and integration into existing video management systems, as well as a docking station for autonomous charging in 24/7 operation. In addition to security robotics, Ascento offers Ascento Research, a ROS-based, modularly expandable research platform for universities and R&D. Typical industries of use include factory premises, data centers, energy facilities, pharmaceutical production, warehouses, research and universities.
