About Asclepius Medical SA
Asclepius Medical SA, based in Grand Lancy (Geneva), is the exclusive distributor of the OPENCAST products for Switzerland. OPENCAST is a modern replacement for classical plaster fixation in limb fractures or limb conditions requiring temporary stabilization. The system consists of a carbon body with a soft foam underlay: after heating, it is moulded to the limb; once cooled, it retains its shape and fixes the fracture. The fixation is waterproof, breathable, hygienic, and can be removed by the physician via plastic clips without an oscillating saw. It is distributed to surgical practices and clinics; fitting and removal are performed by physicians.
