About ASCO
ASCO KOHLENSÄURE AG is an internationally active Swiss company headquartered in Wittenbach that develops and produces complete solutions for CO2 and dry ice. The portfolio includes CO2 recovery systems (carbon capture from flue gas, by-products and dry ice production), dry ice production machines for pellets, nuggets, blocks and slices, ASCOJET dry ice blasting equipment for industrial cleaning, and equipment for storage, transport, filling and dosing of CO2 and dry ice. Dry ice pelletizers and dry ice blasting equipment are manufactured at the Eschlikon production site (Switzerland); further locations exist in Wunstorf (Germany), France, New Zealand and the USA. Since 2007, ASCO has been part of the Messer Group and acts as its competence center for CO2 technologies. Engineering, mechanical engineering, installation, maintenance, remote support and rental models are offered from a single source; customers in over 160 countries use the products.

Media and Processes
Dry ice (solid CO2)
Cooling and blasting medium at -78.5 °C for production, cleaning and logistics.
Liquid CO2
Feedstock for dry ice production and CO2 recovery.
CO2 recovery from dry ice production
Increases the conversion rate of LCO2 to dry ice to 90–95 %.
CO2 flue gas recovery
Recovery, purification and liquefaction of CO2 from flue gases, e.g. from biomass, waste incineration and combined heat and power plants.
CO2 recovery as a by-product
Processing of CO2 produced as a by-product for reuse.
Dry ice blasting (industrial cleaning)
Non-abrasive, residue-free blast cleaning of steel, aluminium, castings, plastics, rubber, stainless steel and sensitive surfaces.
