About ASCONA
ASCONA is a German company founded in 1988, specialized in optical profile metrology. The company develops and manufactures measuring and inspection systems that test aluminium, plastic and rubber profiles both internally and externally – from dimensional metrology in the micrometer range to inline surface inspection. The systems are used directly at the extrusion press, in the laboratory or inline and deliver measurement results within seconds to reliably detect deviations in the cross-section and defects on the surface. In addition to its standard product range, ASCONA develops custom measuring solutions for applications and sizes outside the standard portfolio. Its scope of services includes on-site training, after-sales support and a global partner network for service. With more than 800 installed systems in over 60 countries, ASCONA supplies, among others, aluminium and plastic profile manufacturers such as Hydro Extrusion Nenzing, Thöni Industriebetriebe, E-Max, Profilgruppen and Metra.
