About ASD Advanced Sound Design
ASD Advanced Sound Design GmbH develops, manufactures and installs sound masking systems for office and communication spaces. The ASD Privacy System reduces speech intelligibility in open work environments and promotes acoustic privacy. Unlike conventional systems that use purely synthetic masking noise, the company works with excerpts from natural sounds, which are designed in a recording studio into effective masking sounds – a patented technology (DE 10 2014 107 616 B4). The devices are mounted directly under the workstation, independent of room and furniture, are controlled via WLAN and can be flexibly installed with magnetic, clip and Velcro fasteners. The range of services includes the development of highly efficient sound files, inventory analyses with requirement profiles and change management, the programming of customized control software as well as on-site installation, individual calibration and commissioning by specialist engineers. Development and manufacturing take place in Germany; the distribution partner is Steelcase AG. In 2022, the Privacy System was included by Office Roxx in the Top 100 office solutions of the year.
