About ASE Rübsamen
ASE Rübsamen GbR, based in Siegen, is the manufacturer of the ASE impact-protection running board, a patented impact protection with integrated running board function for vans. Special steel leaf springs produce a progressive pressure build-up and prevent the running board from vibrating: minor collisions are cushioned, while in the case of stronger impacts the impact protection protects both the rear of the vehicle and the obstacle from damage. The company manufactures the running boards in series production with General Operating Permit (ABE) from the Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt for vehicle brands such as Ford, Mercedes-Benz, VW, Nissan, Opel, Renault, Fiat, Peugeot, Citroën and VW/MAN. In addition to the spring-loaded impact-protection running boards, an automatically deploying automatic running board is offered; custom designs, for example with an integrated trailer coupling, are possible. The products are used, among other things, on sales vehicles, in emergency medical services, and on patient and disability transport vehicles. Production takes place at the headquarters in Siegen.

Quality & Approvals
The running boards are manufactured in series production under a General Operating Permit (ABE) from the Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt, tested by DEKRA. Each unit bears the permanent type designation (e.g. KBA 31290) as well as a manufacturer's plate; installation is accompanied by installation instructions.
