Ashcroft Instruments GmbH, based in Alsdorf, is the European company of the Ashcroft Group founded in 1852 (Ashcroft Inc., Stratford, CT, USA) and manufactures pressure and temperature measurement instruments: pressure gauges, pressure switches, pressure sensors and transmitters, differential pressure sensors such as the DXLdp, as well as test instruments. The instruments are manufactured, among other things, in stainless steel or 316L stainless steel (1.4404), with damping fluids such as glycerine, silicone or halocarbon for use under pulsation and vibration; special versions are available for corrosive media and explosion-hazardous areas. At the Alsdorf site, the company operates a calibration service for mechanical and electronic pressure measuring devices of all brands in the range of -1 to 4000 bar according to DAkkS or factory standards and has been a fully active member of the German Calibration Service (DKD, DAkkS since 2010) since 1982. Customer industries include, among others, process industry, oil & gas, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, semiconductors, HVAC-R, mechanical engineering/OEM, water & wastewater as well as hydrogen.
