Materials and Planning Approaches
Natural Wood / Scots Pine
Wooden elements structure interior spaces, e.g., in the Stadtwerke Stuttgart Energy Campus, and serve as structural building material.
Recycled Concrete
Reused concrete from existing structures, e.g., in the design of Jahnsportpark Berlin.
Reinforced Concrete
Existing reinforced concrete skeleton structures are preserved and integrated; the construction of new reinforced concrete is largely reduced.
CO₂-reduced Concrete
Used in the new Gymnasium Waldstraße Hattingen to supplement the structures predominantly built with wood.
Oak Wood
Louver and wall surfaces in the Stadtwerke Stuttgart Service Center in the Tagblatt Tower.
