ASP Lasertechnik is a family business founded in 2002 by Andrea Pfaffenbach, based in Altmorschen (Morschen) in northern Hesse. The company specialises in laser precision welding and laser deposition welding with an open, pulsed Nd:YAG laser. Services include repairs and modifications to injection moulding and aluminium die-casting tools, welding of EDM electrodes and cutting edges onto cutting tools, as well as joint welding and series part welding. The technology enables a very narrow heat-affected zone, virtually distortion-free welding thanks to low overall heat input, and pinpoint repair of fine contours, thereby significantly extending the service life of expensive moulds. Worked materials include tool steels, fine-grained, case-hardening and tempered steels, copper, beryllium copper, Ampcoloy, titanium alloys, stainless steels, aluminium and various gold alloys. As a toolmaker with many years of experience, ASP Lasertechnik primarily serves the toolmaking, injection moulding and aluminium die-casting industries, and additionally offers an all-week pick-up and delivery service as well as availability after 17:00 and at weekends.
