About us
For over 30 years, ASS Alu-Schaltschränke AG has been manufacturing aluminium enclosure systems for power distribution and control systems at its site in Engwilen in the Lake Constance region (Thurgau). The product range includes aluminium modular cabinets (ARS), double-walled aluminium distribution kiosks (AVK) for outdoor use, aluminium wall-mounted cabinets (AL), surface and flush-mounted meter boxes (AP/UP), steel and stainless steel wall enclosures (SWG/EWG) as well as aluminium DIN rails and standard profiles. The enclosures consist of a frame made of aluminium extruded profiles with doors and wall panels made of 1.5–2 mm aluminium sheet; beyond standard sizes, custom dimensions are manufactured in 1-mm increments. Processes include welding, bolting, riveting, customer-specific cut-outs, powder coating in RAL colours (optionally with anti-graffiti protection) and anodizing. Customers are industries such as power distribution, switchgear and control engineering, automation and network technology. Deliveries are made throughout Switzerland using the company's own carrier.

Additional services
Quality
The enclosures are SEV type-tested to EN 62208 / IEC 62208; the AVK is tested to IP55/IK10, and the steel and stainless steel wall enclosures meet, among others, IEC 62208, NEMA 4/4X and IK10. The DIN rail punching machine carries the GS mark from TÜV Südwest as well as a SUVA certificate (no. 4139).
