About ASS Maschinenbau
Founded in 1983, ASS Maschinenbau GmbH develops, designs and produces at its Overath site mechatronic gripper components, customized robot hands (EOAT) and automation systems up to turn-key solutions. The portfolio includes a modular robot hand construction kit with more than 2,500 catalog items, needle grippers for flexible materials such as CFRP, GFRP, organo sheets, SMC, foams and textiles, as well as 3D printing in the SLS process using polyamide (ASS PA-Forming) and, since 2022, in the CFR process with neutral, carbon- or glass-fiber-reinforced Onyx from lot size 1 to series production. In addition, ASS offers coatings (EP, PTFE, flock), control cabinet construction, vision systems, assembly, on-site maintenance and gripper construction training. The company specializes in the automation of plastic injection molding production, particularly for the automotive and commercial vehicle industry, e-mobility, lightweight construction, aerospace and medical technology. Sales are handled through its own location >ASS End of arm Tooling Inc. in Plymouth, Michigan, as well as partners worldwide.
