About assembly industries
assembly industries is a Munich-based sole proprietorship run by Tibor Simai, a former professional mountain bike and BMX rider who worked for years in the development and test teams of bike and component manufacturers. The company manufactures the "five-stroke" hubs for mountain bikes – built for hard use in dirt jumping, slopestyle, pumptrack and street riding. The hub bodies are CNC-machined, and the products are manufactured and assembled in Germany. The rear hub combines a lightweight aluminium axle with steel windings for stiffness; the surfaces are polished or anodized in seven colours (red, blue, turquoise, purple, gold, orange, black). Sales are handled directly via e-mail, without any retail trade; test riders in 2010 included Andi Wittmann, Benny Korthaus and Rob J.
