About the ARCM

The ARCM (Association de Recherche Communautaire des moyens de production Microtechniques) is an association based in Saint-Imier in the Swiss Jura. Its purpose is to network manufacturers, suppliers and users of microtechnology production equipment in the Arc jurassien and to pool joint development projects. The mutualization of development projects is intended to give members access to innovations without touching their own core competencies, while reducing risks and investments. The ARCM acts as a neutral platform: it identifies development needs, brings together partners with similar needs, seeks expertise in the institutions of the region and assumes project coordination. Key topics are Industry 4.0 and ecological industry, such as energy efficiency, digitalization of processes, connectivity and data usage. Active projects include Cybersécurité, LAVANET, ECOPROD (optimization of the energy and fluid consumption of machine tools) as well as «Première pièce bonne». In addition to its project work, the association organizes workshops and events for its member companies.
