About ASSYX
ASSYX GmbH & Co. KG, based in Andernach (Miesenheim), has been developing and producing the ASSYX DuroBOARD® base plate for concrete block production since 2006. The product was created in 2005 in collaboration with Bayer MaterialScience AG (today Covestro) based on BAYDUR®, a rigid polyurethane foam from the Covestro Group. Production is fully automated at the Andernach site, from where the base plates are delivered worldwide just-in-time. The region around Andernach is characterized by rich deposits of pumice and lava as well as a building materials industry based on them with a focus on lightweight concrete; renowned manufacturers of concrete products for garden and landscaping are also based here. ASSYX positions the DuroBOARD® not as a wear part, but as a capital investment with a service life that matches that of the production plant in which it is used. Sales are handled through an international network of sales representatives serving customers in Europe, North Africa, the Middle East, North America and Australasia, among others.
