About us

AST Automatisierungs-System-Technik GmbH was founded in 1997 in Karlsruhe and specializes in the planning and realization of Automated Guided Vehicle Systems (AGVS), from simple to complex installations. The basis is a modular system for vehicle control and higher-level master control, which accompanies the entire life cycle of AGVS installations. The company sources vehicle chassis (forklifts, tractors, etc.) from well-known mechanical engineering firms and equips them according to customer requirements for automatic operation and guidance – optical, inductive or with a navigation laser scanner, in some cases with series vehicles in multi-shift operation. The master control system handles traffic control, visualizes and logs the system status, and can be connected to fire protection doors, high-speed doors, elevator controls, and warehouse management and transport order systems. Remote diagnostics support service and maintenance. Reference customers include Porsche AG, Daimler Truck AG, Neff BSHG GmbH, Aluminium Rheinfelden Semis GmbH and RIMUSS & Strada Wein AG, primarily from the automotive industry, intralogistics and food processing.
