AST Eis- und Solartechnik GmbH, headquartered in Höfen/Tyrol, has been active in ice rink and solar technology since 1986. The company plans and implements mobile and permanent ice rinks based on absorber technology as well as boards systems (e.g. AST ProSport Dynamic), ice rink accessories and service for ice resurfacing machines from the manufacturers Zamboni and WM ice technics. In addition, AST manufactures and installs solar absorber systems made of EPDM absorber mats for water heating in outdoor pools, indoor pools and industry (among others breweries, dairies, commercial laundries) as well as heating systems for artificial turf pitches. To control the cooling brine (glycol), AST operates an automated glycol filter-mixing plant in Höfen. With its in-house development easyCHILL, the energy consumption of the refrigeration machines is reduced by up to 60%. Reference projects range from IIHF World Championships to the VW Autostadt Wolfsburg to the Steppe Arena in Ulan Bator. As a group of companies, AST is represented with companies in Germany, Switzerland, Canada and the USA and supplies customers worldwide.
