About ASTAM
ASTAM is an Austrian manufacturing company founded in 1988 and based in St. Andrä (Carinthia), specializing in mechanical, steel, and plant engineering, welded components, and engineering with CAD/3D planning. The value creation includes sandblasting, cutting and edging, mechanical pre-processing, assembly, welding, stress-relieving annealing, mechanical finishing, preservation, and final completion including test runs and assembly – one-stop service for pieces up to 20 tons. The primary material is steel for applications in industry, architecture, structural steel, and plant construction. Additionally, ASTAM manufactures and distributes crane systems (travel cranes, hoist systems, swivel cranes, gantry cranes, special and rotary crane systems) and is the official distributor of ABUS Crane for Carinthia, East Tyrol, and Styria; service, maintenance, repair, and spare parts for cranes and hoisting systems complete the offering. The company employs around 22 staff on approx. 1,000–2,000 m² of production area and trains apprentices.
