About us
Astra LED is a Swiss manufacturer of intelligent lighting and sensor systems based in Gossau near St.Gallen. The company develops and manufactures LED luminaires, electronics and sensor technology entirely at the Gossau site – from the initial idea through hardware to software. The core product is the SmartLink controller, which turns luminaires into networked nodes and measures light, presence and, if desired, air quality, while regulating the light steplessly and energy-efficiently. In addition to its own luminaire families such as VALUE, Astra LED offers the refurbishment of existing luminaires to LED technology (upcycling), electronics and software development for IoT building automation, and SmartLink as an OEM solution. Reference projects include the platform lighting of the Schweizerische Südostbahn, the SBB Depot G, the 12-storey office building of Bühler in Uzwil as well as schools and public buildings.
