About ASTRAIT
ASTRAIT UG (haftungsbeschränkt) is a space startup based in Bremen (Fahrenheitstraße 1) that previously operated under the name Levity. The company develops NEMO (Next-Gen Earth-Moon Orbiter), a modular, electrically powered small-satellite platform for missions in low Earth orbits (LEO), in variable high geostationary orbits, in cislunar space and in lunar orbit. NEMO serves either as a carrier platform for dedicated payloads in Earth observation, communications, navigation and scientific missions, or as a kick stage and mothership for last-mile transport of nano-, cube- and microsats all the way to the Moon, including data relay services at the destination. The payload environment comprises 300 liters, respectively roughly 32U CubeSat volume, at 50 kg mass to lunar orbit; a 32U CubeSat dispenser is offered courtesy of Planetary Systems Corp. ASTRAIT was mentioned in 2017 and 2018 in the context of INNOspace Masters as well as in 2019 in the publication 'StartUps from NRW 2019' and is supported by the ESA Business Incubation Centre Northern Germany.

Technologies & Systems
Ion and resistojet propulsion
Electric propulsion enables orbit transfers without a lunar rocket as well as precise orbit control down to a 100 km lunar orbit.
S-band and X-band communications
Radio technologies for mission control and data transmission, complemented by optical laser communication.
3-axis attitude control with star trackers
Precise pointing for Earth observation missions with high downlink data rates.
Payload Interface Box
Universal electrical and data interface between platform and payload with customized printed circuit boards.
