ASTRIONICS GmbH was founded in 2013 as Spectrum ARC GmbH as a spin-off of DLR Technology Marketing and ESA within the framework of ESA-BIC Oberpfaffenhofen. The company supplies commercial electronic components, preferably in AEC-Q automotive quality, that have been tested for cost-effective space missions; these components are offered under the SpaceCOTS brand via a catalogue with traceability information. In addition to component supply, ASTRIONICS conducts radiation testing to ESA and NASA standards as well as MIL/ESCC standards and supports customers through all qualification phases of their projects. Together with partners, the company covers further aerospace tests, including thermal-vacuum, mechanical and material testing. The company also offers technical consulting in all development phases, from analysis through design and parts selection to test set-ups and evaluation, as well as worldwide sales of the UNIMAT modular semiconductor tester from UNITES Systems a.s. The in-house R&D team develops electronic test set-ups for aerospace applications. Customers include space missions, power plants, aviation, nuclear medicine, research laboratories and applications in extreme environments such as deserts and Antarctica.
