About AT Sensors
AT – Automation Technology GmbH (brand AT Sensors) has been developing and manufacturing intelligent sensor technology for industrial process automation at its Bad Oldesloe site since 1998: 3D laser profile sensors, 3D cameras, smart infrared cameras as well as systems for non-destructive testing using active thermography (IRNDT). The 3D sensor technology is based on laser triangulation with a self-developed sensor chip and WARP technology, achieving profile speeds of up to 140 kHz and resolutions of up to 4,096 points per profile; features such as MultiPeak enable interference-free measurements on reflective materials such as metal, plastic and glass. Research, development and manufacturing take place in-house – from sensor chip and FPGA development to electronics, optics and mechanics; the sensors and components are assembled in the company's own production under controlled conditions. With more than 50 employees and over 100 sensor models, the company serves industries ranging from automotive and electronics/semiconductors to aerospace, metals, plastics processing and food & beverage. A worldwide sales and service network as well as its own locations in the USA (Stoneham, MA) and Taiwan ensure availability and support.

Technologies & Materials
CFRP / CRP (carbon fiber-reinforced plastic)
Testing of aircraft composite components using active thermography (C-CheckIR), e.g. delaminations and water inclusions.
GFRP (glass fiber-reinforced plastic)
Non-destructive testing of composite materials in production and in service using IRNDT.
Metal (highly reflective)
Interference-free 3D measurement of reflective surfaces using the MultiPeak feature, e.g. steel strip edge inspection.
Steel
Inline edge inspection of steel strips, including at ArcelorMittal Bremen with the CS 1280.
Plastic
Inspection using laser triangulation, including tire and plastics processing.
