About Atlas Microtech
Atlas Microtech was founded in 2006 in Porrentruy in the Swiss Jura, in the heart of the watchmaking region. The company specialises in spring manufacturing and produces in partnership with the Metalab laboratory, which is specialised in material analysis and characterisation. The portfolio includes mainsprings (tension springs) for automatic and hand-wound movements, flat balance springs as well as spherical and cylindrical shaped springs. The entire value chain is handled in-house: wire drawing in various diameters, wire rolling with precise thickness and width control, coiling and shaping through to toolmaking. The materials used are Nivaflex for mainsprings and Nivarox for balance springs, complemented by customer-specific alloys including paramagnetic developments. In addition, wire drawing as a subcontract service, shell laces (sheathed springs) and colouring of springs without changing the mechanical properties are offered. The springs are tested chronometer-certified (COSC); customers are leading Swiss watch houses.
