About ATM Recyclingsystems

ATM Recyclingsystems develops, builds and maintains machines and systems for metal recycling. The portfolio comprises nine in-house developed technologies: briquetting presses (ARNO® Brik) for chips, tire wire and sludges, baling presses (ARNO® Press) for scrap and end-of-life vehicles, shears (ARNO® Cut) for construction and plant scrap, cast iron breakers (ARNO® Break C), rail breakers (ARNO® Break R) for railway rails, shredders (ARNO® Shred), screening systems (ARNO® Screen), sorting systems (ARNO® Sort) and conveying technology (ARNO® Handle). The systems process steel, cast iron and mixed metal scrap with throughputs from below 0.3 t/h to over 80 t/h. Customers come from the scrap and metal recycling industry as well as the manufacturing industry. More than 1,200 machines are installed worldwide, with a focus on Europe.

Materials and Technologies

Stahl

Steel

Processed, among other things, in briquetting, baling and rail breaker systems, partly with throughputs of up to 58 or 60–80 t/h.

Guss

Cast iron

Cast iron scrap is crushed to fracture-ready size in the ARNO® Break C with breaking forces of up to 9,000 kN.

Späne

Metal chips

Are pressed in the ARNO® Brik into dense briquettes with 50–240 mm diameter.

Schienen

Railway rails

Are broken in the ARNO® Break R with a 900 kNm breaking torque, up to five rails at a time.

Reifendraht

Tire wire

Can be briquetted together with chips and sludges.

Schlämme

Sludges

Are compacted in the ARNO® Brik into dense briquettes.

Altfahrzeuge

End-of-life vehicles

Are compacted in the ARNO® Press into compact bales.
