About ATP Heavy Duty Gears
ATP Heavy Duty Gears (ATP Antriebstechnik GmbH & Co KG) is an Austrian manufacturer of heavy-duty gearboxes based in Marchtrenk, Upper Austria. Since 1995 the company has been developing, manufacturing and maintaining drive solutions for extreme loads, serving more than 1,000 customers and having realized over 10,000 projects in the DACH region and worldwide. The portfolio includes planetary gearboxes up to 2,500 kNm, heavy-duty gearboxes over 2,500 kNm, spur gear gearboxes, crown gear gearboxes, slew drives and custom special designs based on the engineering-to-order principle, backed by FEM simulation to validate critical components. Each gearbox is designed for the actual load spectrum of the application rather than for catalogue values. The value chain — design, CNC machining, assembly, test rig verification and service — is carried out at the company's own plant in Marchtrenk. In addition, ATP offers brand-independent service for gearboxes of all manufacturers: maintenance, retrofit and overhaul, spare parts manufacturing to drawing, reverse engineering of legacy gearboxes, and a 24/7 emergency service with on-site response within less than 24 hours in the DACH region.

Materials & Processes
Engineering-to-Order
Custom new gearbox design based on load and motion profile, installation space and service life instead of catalogue-based design.
FEM Simulation
Computational strength and stiffness analysis of housings, shafts and gear teeth for reliable validation without over-dimensioning.
Reverse Engineering
Reconstruction of legacy gearboxes without documentation through measurement, material analysis and re-engineering of an often improved replacement.
Retrofit & Overhaul
Complete disassembly, replacement of all wear parts and re-design at typically 30–60 % of the price of a new unit with a 24-month warranty.
CNC Machining
In-house machining (steel) at the Marchtrenk workshop for single-part and spare parts manufacturing to drawing.
Condition Monitoring
Condition monitoring (vibration, temperature, oil) for early damage detection and plannable maintenance.
