About ATS Automation Tooling Systems
ATS Automation Tooling Systems GmbH is part of the globally operating ATS Group with more than 7,500 employees at 27 production sites. As the ATS Life Sciences Europa division, the company develops and manufactures automation solutions in Germany for manufacturers of medical and pharmaceutical technology. The portfolio includes automated assembly and handling systems for medical devices, medical diagnostics and pharmaceuticals such as syringes, tube sets, autoinjectors, pens, inhalers, biofluidics, DNA microarrays, contact lenses, catheters and stents, as well as end-to-end systems for pharmaceutical manufacturing and packaging. In addition, the company manufactures assembly machines, winding machines, complete industrial robot systems and handling systems for photovoltaic modules. The division builds automation systems at two sites with over 10,000 m² of production space and offers end-to-end services including engineering, prototyping, contract manufacturing and after-sales services. In total, the sites have around 380 employees; the Urbach site serves as the Service Excellence Center.
