About ATS Industrial Automation
ATS Industrial Automation develops and manufactures automated assembly and test systems for highly dynamic industries such as eMobility, energy storage and the nuclear industry. The portfolio includes assembly systems for battery modules, battery packs and e-motors of electric vehicles, systems for building and testing grid-storage batteries, high-volume assembly platforms for industrial and consumer goods as well as remotely operated tooling systems for the construction, modernization, operation and decommissioning of nuclear reactors – including Small Modular Reactors (SMR). The company has more than 45 years of experience in automation and has developed over 500 automation systems for the remote retrieval of irradiated reactor internals. The value chain includes Pre-Automation, prototype systems, proof-of-principle studies, digital twin technology, virtual commissioning, VR simulation training (UReality) as well as lifecycle service with remote support and predictive maintenance. Manufacturing takes place at locations in Canada, the USA and Europe, including Koblenz and Ingolstadt in Germany. Customers include NuScale Power and Bruce Power as well as major automotive OEMs.
