About Audi
AUDI AG develops and produces vehicles with a sporty orientation and a focus on build quality and design. The brand claim “Vorsprung durch Technik” (Progress through Technology) stands for the company’s technological orientation; in 2025 the company employed around 88,000 people and delivered approximately 1,644,400 vehicles in more than 100 markets. Production includes body construction with highly automated systems and spot welding, painting, and vehicle assembly in small- and large-series production – for combustion, hybrid, and fully electric drivetrains. Materials are in particular steel for body construction and aluminium for lightweight aluminium construction. At the Neckarsulm plant, 15,509 employees produce the A5, A6, A8, and e-tron GT models on around one million square meters; the e-tron GT is built in small-series production in the Böllinger Höfen. Neckarsulm also serves as a competence center for artificial intelligence and digitalization in production and logistics, for example with Edge Cloud 4 Production, AI-controlled grinding robots, and around 200 automated guided vehicles. The headquarters and parent plant is Ingolstadt, where the fully electric A2 e-tron has been produced since 2026.
