About Augetik

Augetik is a deep-tech startup and spin-off of the Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI) in Villigen, Switzerland. The company develops high-resolution, modular Muon imaging detectors that are combined with an AI-powered cloud analytics platform. The detector technology is based on semiconductor detectors originally developed for particle physics experiments at the CERN Large Hadron Collider and has been further developed for industrial use in a lightweight, energy-efficient and portable form. Muons from cosmic radiation penetrate dense materials, enabling non-destructive, contactless radiography and tomography of large objects such as industrial plants, structures and subsurface structures. The cloud platform processes the detector data in real time and delivers automated analyses and visualizations for predictive maintenance and structural monitoring. Augetik serves customers from industrial inspection, critical infrastructure, security and defense, as well as environmental and resource management; the business model includes hardware sales, SaaS subscriptions and services.
