About August Gundlach KG
The August Gundlach KG is a crucible works in Großalmerode (North Hesse) and produces exclusively in Germany. The company manufactures crucibles made of clay-bonded graphite (clay graphite) and carbon-bonded silicon carbide for non-ferrous metals, as well as graphite-free crucibles made of quartzite and spinel for grey and steel castings. The standard programme covers all common crucible types for aluminium, copper and precious metal casting in sizes from 29 to 1600 mm in height and up to 950 mm in diameter. The product range also includes refractory accessories such as stands, covers, nozzles for continuous casting, pyrometer protection tubes, immersion bells, degassing lances and ladles. Production is carried out in part by isostatic pressing; production and sales are certified according to ISO 9001 and ISO 50001. Customers are foundries and metal processors in Germany and abroad.
