About August Robotics
August Robotics Limited develops autonomous robot fleets for the construction industry, the events and trade fair sector, and commercial and industrial fit-out projects. The starting point was the floor marking robot Lionel (2019), which marks layout points on concrete, carpet and tiles with an accuracy of ±5 mm and up to 90 points per hour. In 2025 came Lionel PX, and in 2026 the company presented, together with DEWALT, the first downward-drilling, fleet-capable robot for data center construction. All robots are based on a common modular platform with CAD-based layout planning and cloud-based control. The company was founded by Alex Wyatt; headquarters are located in Hong Kong Science Park, with additional sites in Shenzhen, Las Vegas, Düsseldorf and Carlton (Australia). Manufacturing follows lean principles in robotics supply chain centers, and development runs in 6-week cycles.
