About August Sure
August Sure KG is a family business founded in 1937 in Lüdenscheid, specializing in electroplated surface coating. Its range of services includes hard chrome plating for wear protection, anti-stick layers and dimensional adjustment, as well as functional coatings providing corrosion and wear protection, electrical conductivity, solderability and improved sliding properties. In the decorative field, surfaces are refined with black chrome, bright chrome, gold, nickel, tin and copper. The company works with steel, copper, brass and aluminium and serves customers from trade fair construction, automotive and industry, among others; chrome sculptures were also refined for a well-known American Pop Art artist. In addition to single items and prototypes, August Sure KG produces small and very small series as well as reproduction runs, and develops special solutions deviating from the standard. The electroplating facility is located at the headquarters on Kölner Straße in Lüdenscheid.
