About Augustiner-Bräu Wagner KG
Augustiner-Bräu Wagner KG is Munich's oldest private brewery and stands for Bavarian brewing tradition, Munich beer culture and an exceptional commitment to quality. Since 1884, every drop of Augustiner beer has been brewed at the brewery on Landsberger Straße in Munich, where modern machinery and systems are in use today. The brewing water comes from the company's own well, 230 metres deep, and the malt is produced on site in the brewery's historic floor malting plant. The company philosophy rests on the pillars of quality, tradition and regionality; when selecting raw materials, the brewery places great value on reliable, long-term partnerships. Since 1996, the majority owner has been the non-profit Edith-Haberland-Wagner Foundation, which guarantees the preservation of the brewery as Munich's last major private brewery.
