About AustriaTech
AustriaTech – Gesellschaft des Bundes für technologiepolitische Maßnahmen GmbH is a public-interest consultancy agency founded in 2005, headquartered in Vienna and a 100-percent subsidiary of the Federal Ministry for Innovation, Mobility and Infrastructure (BMIMI). The company does not manufacture physical products but provides services in the field of mobility innovation: it supports transformation processes such as digitalisation, automation and decarbonisation in transport, advises on national and European requirements, and initiates and supports technology-policy projects of strategic importance. Its focus areas include the Contact Point for Automated Mobility, which handles test applications and test certificates under the AutomatFahrV, administrative and monitoring tasks in the field of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), mobility data management, the FTI Hub Mobility, and the Electromobility Control Centre. As an interface between policy, industry and research, AustriaTech networks stakeholders at national and international level and participates in EU research projects, for example as a project partner in the EU project ePowerMove with the pilot site in Klagenfurt for bidirectional charging (V2G).
