About Motherson Autoelectric
Motherson Autoelectric (until 2023 Nexans autoelectric) is a system and development supplier for vehicle electrical distribution systems headquartered in Floß in the Upper Palatinate. The company develops and manufactures electrical distribution systems as the central energy and data infrastructure of modern vehicles, engine cable sets, components for safety and comfort systems such as temperature sensors, connection cables, overmolded connectors and clock springs, as well as high-voltage solutions for charging, distribution and storage in electric vehicles. Manufacturing processes include cable set production, overmolding of components and busbars with functional integration in a single manufacturing step, and the production of flexible flat cables (FFC/FLBL), also shielded and impedance-stabilized for Automotive Ethernet. Copper is predominantly used as the conductor material. Production takes place in a global network of around 30 sites in 10 countries on 4 continents, controlled via the in-house developed Manufacturing Execution System aPIMS. The company's own laboratory in Floß performs validation tests according to ISO standards, leak tests according to ISO 20653 and residual dirt analyses (Technical Cleanliness according to VDA 19). Customers are primarily vehicle manufacturers from the automotive industry and electromobility.

Quality & Certification
In its own laboratory in Floß, the products undergo validation tests according to international ISO standards, including leak tests according to ISO 20653 as well as residual dirt analyses (Technical Cleanliness) via suction extraction and light-optical particle analysis according to VDA 19 Part 1. The in-house developed MES aPIMS seamlessly documents the digital life cycle of every product across all sites.
