About the Innovation Forum for Automation
The Innovation Forum for Automation is an event hosted by the Automation Network Dresden (AND), a network dedicated to factory automation in Dresden. The forum offers a platform for discussing current developments, challenges and solutions in factory automation, with a focus on the semiconductor industry, including artificial intelligence, cyber resilience and the automation of 300-mm wafer manufacturing. After a two-year break, the format returned in 2022; in January 2025, the 22nd edition took place as a two-day event with around 300 industry experts. The program included keynotes, panels and breakout sessions with participants and speakers from companies such as Applied Materials, Siltronic, X-Fab, ESMC, Fabmatics and Fraunhofer institutes. Each year, the network honors one company for outstanding innovations in the field of automation.
