About Avantgarde Acoustic

Avantgarde Acoustic is a manufacturer of high-end horn loudspeakers and amplifiers founded in 1991, based in Lautertal-Reichenbach in the Hessian Odenwald near Darmstadt. The company goes back to the collaboration between Holger Fromme and Matthias Ruff, which began in the mid-1980s with the goal of building loudspeakers based on horn technology. In its own manufactory, the loudspeakers are crafted by hand; the spherical spherical-wave horns are produced with steel casting tools to micrometer precision. Using an online configurator, colour, surface and material of visible components such as horns and front panels can be individually customised. The products are delivered to more than 60 countries and sold through a worldwide dealer network as well as the company's own showroom.
