Avokal GmbH and Heinrich Heller GmbH are trading companies in the third and fourth family generation respectively, based in Wuppertal, specializing in raw materials and chemicals for the rubber processing industry. The portfolio includes, among other things, vulcanization accelerators, anti-aging agents, fillers such as calcium carbonates, silicas, barium sulfates and carbon blacks, rubber-to-metal bonding agents, sulfur and sulfur preparations, resins, plasticizers, flame retardants and processing aids. In addition, the company offers custom accelerator blends (Avomix) in powder or batch form, packaged in EVA bags, laboratory testing equipment such as laboratory press, rheometer and tackiness tester (TackinessCheck), as well as sulfur dispensers. Customer industries include rubber and plastics processing, construction chemicals, water treatment and filtration technology, and road construction with asphalt modification. In addition to the headquarters in Wuppertal-Barmen, there is a site in Hann. Münden for national distribution and, since 2006, a sales office in Rijswijk, the Netherlands, serving the Benelux countries and Northern Europe.
