About us

Axel Thoms Lebensrettungseinrichtungen GmbH has been active as an integrated manufacturer of life-saving escape chutes for over 40 years, developing, designing and producing entirely in Germany. The company supplies stationary, semi-mobile and fully mobile escape chutes as well as escape ladders for the rapid evacuation of people from buildings and facilities. The systems are site-specific custom-made units; by combining different design and functional variants as well as materials, a wide range of deployment scenarios is covered, including special designs for offshore and onshore drilling rigs, mining, transport chutes and monorail applications. The service offering covers the entire project process as a turnkey solution: from consulting and design through production, delivery and installation to training, instruction and maintenance service. The company's escape chutes are already installed in over 80 countries, including hospitals, schools, kindergartens, administrative buildings, listed historic buildings and airport towers. The headquarters with production is located in Bad Bramstedt in Schleswig-Holstein.
