About AXIS Flight Simulation
AXIS Flight Training Systems (AXIS Flight Simulation), based in Lebring near Graz, develops and manufactures Full Flight Simulators (FFS) Level D as well as Flight Training Devices (FTD), Flat Panel Trainers, Virtual Procedure Trainers and AI-supported debriefing systems for pilot training. The products meet the qualification requirements of EASA, FAA and ICAO. The value chain includes in-house flight testing and flight modeling, software and hardware development, avionics simulation (including rehosted Rockwell Collins ProLine 21 Fusion), assembly and qualification according to MQTG/QTG. With the AX-D Flex, AXIS offers the first roll-on/roll-off FFS for fixed-wing aircraft with a cockpit changeover in under two hours; market entry into helicopter simulation followed in 2026. The company with around 100 employees supplies airlines, Pilot Academies and Approved Training Organizations in Europe, Asia and America, including Rega, Lufthansa Aviation Training and Vista America. Since 2026, AXIS has been part of the AX Aero Group.

Development & Technology
Avionics simulation (rehosted)
Replication of original avionics systems such as Rockwell Collins ProLine 21 Fusion for realistic cockpit and systems training.
3D-printed lightweight structure
The helicopter FTD uses a lightweight, 3D-printed structure for increased portability.
COTS components
Extensive use of industrially standardized, partly de-classed COTS parts reduces maintenance costs and secures the supply of spare parts.
