About Axplora
Axplora is a manufacturer of pharmaceutical active ingredients (APIs) and pharmaceutical CDMO focused on small molecules, highly potent active ingredients (HPAPIs), antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) and steroidal APIs. The group was formed in 2022 through the merger of Novasep, PharmaZell and Farmabios and integrates the business units Novasep CDMO, PharmaZell and Farmabios. Novasep was founded in 1996 by Roger-Marc Nicoud and was originally specialized in separation technology and preparative and continuous chromatography for the pharmaceutical industry; the group also included the plant manufacturer Applexion (ion exchange, membrane filtration, evaporation) as well as synthesis services for highly critical reactions, e.g. in the production of Tamiflu, via Dynamit Nobel GmbH ES in Leverkusen. The group also includes Seripharm, which manufactures cytotoxins and highly potent active ingredients using chiral separation processes. Its customers come predominantly from the pharmaceutical industry and the life sciences; according to the company, 8 of the 10 largest pharmaceutical corporations work with Axplora.
